On February 2, the Gordo Green Wave traveled to Fayette to take on the Fayette Tigers. Gordo was down by 10 at Halftime and at the end of 3 quarters were down by 19, but in the 4th quarter, Gordo made a strong comeback by scoring 30 points in the 4th quarter, but still came up short. The 30 points in the 4th quarter were their best points in a quarter all year.

Gordo 49 Winfield 38
On January 28th, the Gordo Green Wave played host to the Winfield Pirates in an Area game. The Green Wave lost the first time they played, but rebounded with a win at home.
Gordo 58 Holt 34
On January 29th, the Green Wave played host to the Holt Ironman on Senior night, and it turned out to be a good one for these Seniors as Gordo would never trail in the ball game.

On January 29th the Lady Wave took on Holt at home on Senior night for the Lady Wave. They held Holt to single digits in all 4 quarters as the Lady Wave downed Holt 53-22.

Northside 53 Gordo 51
On January 20th, the Gordo Green Wave traveled to Northside to take on the Rams. Gordo would be down by 9 points at Halftime but in the 2nd Half, the Green Wave would come back and tie the game at 47- 47 and have a shot to tie the game again with around 7 seconds left, but the ball would hit the side of the rim, and Northside would win the game 53-51.

Oakman 32 Gordo 27
On January 13th, the Lady Wave played host to the Lady Wildcats of Oakman in an Area game. The game was tight through 4 quarters, but the Lady Wildcats would pull out the win over the Lady Wave 32-27.

Northside 50 Gordo 18
On January 20th, the Lady Wave traveled to Northside to take on the Lady Rams. The Lady Rams controlled the game from start to finish and held the Lady Wave to only 18 points on the night, and won the game 50-18.

Oakman 34 Gordo 33
On January 13th, the Gordo Green Wave played host to the Oakman Wildcats in an Area game. Both teams would play good defense on the night, but then again, I think high school basketball needs to put in a shot clock. I know at one point, Oakman passed the ball around for over 3 minutes in the 4th quarter.
