Four Aliceville Teachers and One Police Officer Arrested for Child Sex Abuse Material-Related Crimes

Four teachers within the Pickens County School System and one Aliceville Police Officer have been arrested recently for child sex abuse material- related crimes. Three Aliceville High School teachers and one Aliceville Elementary School teacher are among those arrested.

Lakethia Wilkins, a fourth-grade teacher at Aliceville Elementary School, is charged with possession of child pornography and using her position for personal gain. She was arrested on February 17, 2026. She is currently in the Pickens County Jail with a $750,000.00 bond.

Winston Bishop, an Aliceville High School teacher, is charged with solicitation of child sex abuse material, possession of child sex abuse material, illegal distribution of a controlled substance, and providing a minor with drugs. He was arrested Febru- ary 16, 2026, and is currently being held in the Pickens County Jail without bond.

Antavious Belgrave was arrested on February 6, 2026, and charged with felony indecent exposure, three counts of sexual misconduct, three counts of ethics violations, three counts of failure to report child abuse, and three counts of felony distributing a private image. Belgrave, a teacher at Aliceville High School, is being held in the Pickens County Jail on a 1-million-dollar bond.

On January 30, 2026, Roderick Granger was charged with possession of child sex abuse material, dissemination of child sex abuse material, solicitation of child sex abuse material, failure to report child abuse, and an ethics violation. Granger was an Al- iceville High School math teacher. He is being held in the Pickens County Jail on a 1- million-dollar bond.

A fifth person who is employed as an Al- iceville Police Officer was also arrested. Gary Caminion, age 20, was arrested and charged with solicitation of child sex abuse material, first-degree sexual abuse, production of child sex abuse material, transmitting obscene material to a minor, and child molestation. He was ar- rested February 17, 2026, and is being held in the Pickens County Jail on no bond.

According to the 24 th Judicial Circuit of Alabama, multiple agencies are involved, including investigators in the DA’s office, the Aliceville Police Department, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations Office in Birmingham.

Superintendent Shawn McDaniel said in a press release that these matters are part of an active criminal investigation being handled by the appropriate law enforcement agencies, and the district is fully cooperating with authorities. He stated that the safety, well-being, and education of the students remain his highest priority. McDaniel also said that he is committed to transparency, within the bounds of the law, and to maintaining the trust of students, parents, and stakeholders.
