GORDO-The Gordo Town Council received a request at its Aug. 1 meeting to turn two lots in the Northgate subdivision into a community type building that could be used for multiple purposes.
Timothy King, who said he was representing his mother Sara King , addressed the council about lots 18 and 19 in Northgate and what could be placed on that land. He said a family dispute dating back to 2018 had delayed any decision about the property. This issue has since been resolved and after the COVID scare, he and his mother decided they wanted to establish a center there that could be used as a place for family wellness, adult day care, child care, family counseling or a clinic.
