“ELEVATE” CHILDREN’S MINISTRY AT STANSEL BAPTIST CHURCH
Stansel Baptist Church will begin an exciting new children’s ministry called Elevate, starting Sept. 1 and on every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for children in pre-K through sixth grade. The church van will be available for children who need transportation; call 399-3364 or 399-0192.
GARDEN OF EDEN COGIC PASTOR APPRECIATION SERVICE
The Garden of Eden COGIC will be having their Pastor MacArthur and First Lady Gail Guyton ’s 27th Appreciation Program on Sunday, Sept. 5, at 3 p.m. The guests will be Pastor John C. Glass and the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Family of Boligee. Come and be blessed.
GOSPEL PROGRAM AT ALICEVILLE RELIGIOUS CENTER
A Gospel program will be held at the Aliceville Religious Center on Sunday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. Sponsors will be the Golden Bells of Meridian, Miss., along with the Southern Echoes of Aliceville as well as other groups. The public is invited to this open-door program.
GOSPEL EXTRAVAGANZA TO BE HELD AT ALICEVILLE ACTIVITY CENTER
There will be a Gospel music extravaganza at the Aliceville Activity Center on Sept. 11, beginning at 7 p.m. Guests will include The Original Messengers Waymakers of Jackson, Miss. Cleo Sanders of Mix 106.1 will be the emcee. Other groups will be The Angelettes of Macon, Miss.; BB Chapel Male Chorus of Pickensville; Blest Girls of Carrollton; Blest Brothers of Tuscaloosa; and The Poole Brothers of Tuscaloosa. There will be a Gospel singing at First United Methodist Church of Gordo on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Guest singers will be the Gordo Methodist Men Choir, the Songs of Faith (Joe Brown and Johnny Duren). Rev. Billy Weems is the pastor.
ALICEVILLE RELIGIOUS CENTER 19TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Celebrate the Aliceville Religious Center’s 19th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. Sponsors will be Mighty Traveler and Golden Gate of Starkville, Miss. All groups, choirs and solo singers are invited. The event will be open to the public.
PICKENS BIBLE INSTITUTE CLASS
The Gospel of Luke will be the focus of the next Pickens Bible Institute class beginning on Sept. 13. Classes will be at the PBA building in Carrollton from 6:30 to 9 p.m. There will be 10 meetings. The class will end before Thanksgiving. Luke is rich with the parables of Jesus. This class is intended for prospective pastors, Sunday school teachers and those wanting to provide volunteer ministry at the new prison. The cost will be $40 for the class. Scholarships are available. When a student completes eight of these PBI classes he/she will be awarded a Certificate of Ministry from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. Gary Farley will be the instructor.
ANNUAL CHOIR DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, NBC IN GORDO
First Baptist Church NBC in Gordo, located at 8th Street NW will hold its Annual Choir Day on Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. They are asking that your choir render two selections for this program. If your choir is able to participate, please notify Sherry Darling at (205) 364-0311 or Diane Gosa at (205) 339-5988. Upon your arrival they ask that each choir register in the church dining area. Your choir will take the choir stand and render two selections in the order of your registration. Rev. Dr. Seaphues Dailey is the pastor; Sis. Sherry Darling is the Choir President; Sis. New Providence Baptist Church, located on Highway 17 South in Reform, will hold its annual homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. Rev. Dennis Moore is the pastor. This will be the 125th celebration, and all former members, pastors, family descendants, students and teachers who may have attended school at the church, and churches and community friends are invited to fellowship. NEW HOME MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH TO PRESENT YOUTH VICTORY FELLOWSHIP
The New Home Missionary Baptist Church proudly presents Youth Victory Fellowship to be held each Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. MT. OLIVE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH TO PRESENT JUDGMENT HOUSE
Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Mt. Olive, Ala. will present “Cody’s Story: Judgment House 2010” Oct. 10-Nov. 1, a true story told in a riveting nine-scene walk-through drama. Take Exit 272 on Interstate 65 onto Mount Olive Road and go two miles; the church is on the left. Showtimes are 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 15, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, 28, 31 and Nov. 1. SERIES ON TEACHING CHILDREN OFFERED AT BETHLEHEM PRIMITIVE BAPTIST CHURCH
