Default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that
certain mortgage executed by Elijah Hick-man, Jr., a married man joined by his
wife, Twila L. Hickman, to Alternative Funding Corporation, on the 26th day of
April, 2002, said mortgage recorded in the Office of the Judge of Probate of
Pickens County, Alabama, in Book 153 Page 424; said mortgage having
subsequently been transferred and assigned to Chase Home Finance, LLC; the
undersigned Chase Home Finance, LLC, as Mortgagee/ Transferee, under and by
virtue of the power of sale contained in said mortgage, will sell at public
outcry to the highest bidder for cash, in front of the main entrance of the
Courthouse at Carroll-ton, Pickens County, Alabama, on Septem-ber 30, 2010,
during the legal hours of sale, all of its right, title, and interest in and to

Section 26, for 620 feet to the point of beginning of herein described parcel
of land; thence from said point of beginning continue West along said North
line of Southeast Quarter of Southwest Quarter (SE 1/4 of SW 1/4), Section 26,
for 210 feet; thence South 14 Degrees 20 Minutes West, for 210 feet; thence
North 88 Degrees 45 Minutes East, for 210 feet; thence North 14 Degrees 20
Minutes East for 210 feet to the point of beginning.
Also, an easement for access from Alabama Highway No. 17 being 20 feet wide, the
North boundary of said Easement being described as follows: From the Northwest

PICKENS COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY
Sealed bids for CLEAN, REPAIR AND PAINT 75,000 GALLON ELEVATED STORAGE TANK IN
LIBERTY will be received by the Pickens County Water Authority at the office of
Pickens County Water Authority in Carrollton, Alabama until 1:00 p.m.,
Thursday, September 9,
2010 and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read aloud:
BASIS OF AWARD:
The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of
unit prices and quantities in the contract documents.
Actual work quantities performed shall be based on availability of local funds. The work to be done is generally as shown in technical specifications. The Board of Directors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively
insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement all
minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids
in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the
grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the Office of the Project Engineer, in Meridian,
Mississippi.
SPECIFICATIONS, AND BID FORMS may be obtained at the office of E.P. AND
ASSOCIATES. located at 1724-B 23RD AVENUE, MERIDIAN, MS
39301 upon payment of $25.00 for each set which is non-refundable.
Certified check or bid bond for five (5%) percent of the total bid, made payable
to Pickens County Water Authority, must accompany each proposal.
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying
in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be
considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making
the award.
The Board of Directors reserved the right to accept or reject any and/or all
bids to waive informalities.
